Blogging via Office2007

I repost this article from my old blog.

Ms Office package usually used to write a document, make a spreadsheet, presentation slide, designing a brochure, or even build small database. Can it used for blogging?

Lately I notice there’s “Blog This” option on context-menu while using OneNote2007. When I click the option, it bring me to Publish feature on Ms Word 2007. You can access this feature from main menu in Ms Word (the round button with office logo), pick “Publish” option and there’s “Blog” sub-option in it. Using “Blog” feature allow you to write your post offline and publish it directly from Ms Office.

You can write you post the same way as you write a document in Office then choose “Blog” option or choose the option first then write in post editor afterward. Before you can publish you post you must first set your account by clicking “Manage Account” then choose “New”

On the next step, choose you blog provider from drop-down menu like this

Then you need to fill necessay information (if you experienced using something like ScribeFire it should be a piece of cake) like this

You can choose where to upload picture file in your post by choosing “Picture Option”, since I haven’t try it yet so I can’t tell you anything about it, sorry :(

All you have to do now is write something for your blog and post it in just one click :D

Happy blogging :)
